Monocacy Crossing: Reviews & Ratings
Had a big party, and we were treated royally. Becca and Marcia took excellent care of us, going out of their way to make our event a super success. The food was excellent as always, and the prices are decent. We will continue to dine here often as well as have our special events here as well.
First time here and everything was great , my server I believe her named is Candace was great when I ask what was a good dish “to go for a later dinner” ( don’t judge lol), food is very delicious, hanger steak cooked to perfect med rare , def will be coming back
Hands down best brunch in Frederick. High quality food VERY reasonably priced. We’ve had the homemade cinnamon rolls, duck nachos, chicken biscuit, and bacon wrapped fillets over 2 visits. Every single item is amazing and you need to come eat here. No excuses. Go now.
Amazing food. The maple, pecan Old Fashioned was the sweetest old fashion I have ever had. The fried oysters Rockefeller were amazing. And the coconut pound cake at the end was something to behold. Trish and Savannah were superb hosts. I will definitely return for fun and great food.
Four of us dined here on Saturday, December 27 and it was really busy, but I had one of the best meals that I’ve had in a long time at any restaurant! Every entree and appetizer was delicious and served at the appropriate temperature. My Pork Schnitzel with truffle mushroom sauce over red skinned shallot mashed potatoes was absolutely delicious. I’m already devising a plan to return again for that! Our waitress was attentive, but not intrusive. Even though it was really busy, she did not rush us at all. In my opinion I can always get a solidly delicious meal here and the prices are reasonable. I feel like the menu has a nice variety of foods for everyone.
I’m from Frederick, but have lived out of state since 2011. I try to carve out time to stop by MC every or every other visit I make. Of all the places I’ve lived it’s probably the only place I can count on for cocktails, their bar menu is def one of the best I’ve seen and everything is crafted perfectly. Huge, amazing wine selection to die for. The guys in my family are big fans of their bourbon selection. The food has never been anything but amaze. Fave apps are the duck nachos, crabby deviled eggs, and scallops. I often go for the seasonal seafood pasta they have entree wise. I haven’t had their coconut pound cake, but I heard it’s got a cult following so I’m itching to get back to try it! I was skimming through some of the bad reviews and yes, sometimes it can get loud-and yes it’s a very loved restaurant that can get super busy and sometimes it’s a lot for the staff (who are human) and they might not be able to to get everything perfect every single visit (although, I’ve always been well taken care of). They’ve got a great team, great food, great drinks. On busy nights, give some grace like we all should be doing at all the restaurants we’re visiting.
The husband and I would drive by this little Snow White-looking cottage nestled in the woods with always a packed parking lot, and told ourselves we'd have to try this place sometime to see what the fuss was about. And am I glad we finally did! It's been a looooong time since I've found a restaurant that really deserves all the stars. Not only was the food truly exceptional (the husband had the sage-cider pork tenderloin while I had the walleye fish with THE BEST "potato salad" ever), the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the prices were very fair for the quality (and large portions) of food served, and the waitress (thank you, Rachel!) was wonderful. I always appreciate a wait staff that know how to adapt to different audiences and recommend dishes not based on the highest bidding price, but because they genuinely liked an item on the menu. Cherry on top, the restaurant even printed a little placard that wished us a happy anniversary and threw in a delectable dessert. It made our outing really special! Thank you for the best first experience at your establishment, and we can't wait to come back... this weekend!
This is by far the nicest restaurant I have ever been too. I went on a date with my girlfriend and was absolutely delighted at the atmosphere, service, food, and prices. It was a somewhat formal restaurant with spacious seating. Table lights had multiple settings and the other diners were fairly quiet and respectful. The portion sizes were great, and the food itself was absolutely to die for! We had an amazing time and I can not wait to come back again
